Ronnie in XY

Ronnie is my partner in Pokémon X, and my partner for the first Pokémon game I finished on my own.This save with him as my partner also jumpstarted my special interest in the whole Pokémon franchise, after passively enjoying the card game, anime, and fashion minigame in black and white since childhood. Ronnie felt more personal to me when playing through XY because I had never seen Chespins evolved forms ever online! I love all 3 stages personally, and Quilladin haters need to get a better opinion.

Ronnie in PSMD

I decided to pick up Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon a few days after a disasterous hurricane went directly over my area. Since theres nothing to do except wait for the electricty to come back on, I played this game very religiously. I however didn't reach postgame until over a month later...

When starting this new game, I of course wanted to have my partner be Ronnie, cuz I went into the game knowing all the Gen VI starters were playable this time. I decided to make myself an Oshawott cuz I always thought I looked like one (however when I took the quiz in PSMD I got Pikachu!)
Anyway that decision changed my brain chemistry
I was so overjoyed when Ronnie was acting exactly like how he is characterized in XY (Naive Nature, Curious Personality) and it made me even more attached to him and the game.
After all that went down in PSMD I got my own personal headcanon that me and Ronnie ended up finding eachother again in XY and thus became my partner in that game too! I 💚luv Ronnie

PSMD spoilers

After the postgame in PSMD I like to think that My Oshawott gives Ronnie and themself a new token of their friendship after the old scarves had to get used to bring Ronnie back.
